The Collage Party is an experimental nomadic studio to which Paul Butler invites a diverse group of artists to work alongside him in different locations. Since 1998, The Collage Party has functioned as an incubator for the development of ideas through the interaction of participating artists. Outside activities, including meals, exercise and socializing are considered part of the overall creative process. These Collage Parties have lasted from
one day, to two weeks.

Currently, The focus with The Collage Party is to provide a sanctuary where professional artists can escape the commercial art world as well as the pressures and responsibilities that come with it. By surrounding invited artists with artists working outside the profession, the intention is to create a healthy, balanced environment for artistic growth.
